RP - unnamed for the moment

There are four known continents on this planet. One of them is divided into three warring territories, where this story starts. This place is called Sansa. The three warring territories fight over the right to rule this continent and are oblivious to what's happening on the others. Samatoria, Xenobi, and Laranarch are the three powerful territories.
~Samatoria once ruled the continent but was overthrown by Xenobi in an uprising. Samatoria is a very military oriented country, but it is a kingdom run by a royal family. There are several small towns that belong to the Samatoria Royal Family with one capitol - it's castle town. They are the western-most territory on the continent. It is expected for every man born in the country to serve in the Royal Army for at least two years of their life, and for every woman to marry a man who is in the military. It's considered an honor for a woman to marry the highest ranking man she can get, so those who are high in rank are looked at as trophies by greedy women.

~Xenobi is run by a Governor-General, and has fewer towns with bigger population than Samatoria. The land is less fertile than the other two territories and has to trade to be able to feed its populace. Eventually when they had nothing to pay with, they started attacking Samatoria's farming communities to the south. Xenobi is harsher about its rules. No person can enter or leave the land without a governor-approved passport, and it can take quite a bit of favors or money to get one. Illegal border crossings are commonplace because of this. It's known to the outside world that if the citizens of Xenobi could leave, they would do so in a heartbeat because the land cannot support itself and the government seems to care little for the people it rules. If an official comes and demands you fight for them, you will do so, or you will be punished for it.

~Laranarch is ruled by a pope kind of figure, where religion dedicated to the twin Goddesses of Lorelei and Martel, rules supreme. All of the people there are trained to enter the clergy and study the history of their Seven Holy Books. They have missionaries all over the continent, trying to spread the message of patience, goodness, and hope for the future. Laranarch is considered a holy land and will not get involved in conflict, but rumor has it that it has sided with Xenobi just for 'protection'. To obtain magical abilities is to understand the way the Goddesses created the world, or that's what the priests would have you believe. The land is very healthy, however, and can support itself very easily without the need for trade.

Of course, the rest of the world is very much an unexplored frontier, covered in forests and full of natural caverns. These places are where monsters are born. They do not exist in the densly populated continent of Sansa. Where there is a high population of humans, monsters will not appear.

The continent to the north, Ailnil, is very sea-oriented. Ailnil is full of sparse fishing villages, and they do not trade with Sansa. There was once a conflict between Ailnil's fishermen and the continent of Sansa before they broke into the current three territories, but it is not discussed between the commonfolk of Sansa. There is much mystery about it. Ailnil is the most north of all the continent, and thus the most if it is covered in ice and mountainous. The southern-most point is a very nice place, but still too cold for most outsiders. There are no harsh rules to the people of Ailnil. It is considered a very free place, even if there isn't much to do except fish and fight monsters in the icy peaks.

To the east of Sansa is the land of Kamiyu, which is the biggest continent on this world. It is home to no ruling family, but every town takes care of itself in whatever way it wants. It boasts half the population of Sansa, but much more room. It is said that the ruling junta of Xenobi had the chance to move to Kamiyu, it would. However, no one wants to go there. The consider the land "uncivilized" and are afraid to venture. Kamiyu is a temperate place, covered in a very large rainforest for most of it. The people are not expected to give their lives to any one cause, like the people of Ailnil. Kamiyu, does, however, feature lots of monsters and a lot of mercenaries to keep the towns safe. Instead of relying on animals like Sansa's population, they figured it was much easier to use the remains of monsters for whatever was needed - food, oil, weaponry, armor, all sorts of things.

To the far south is a land yet to be discovered. It's blanketed in a thick layer of fog, and no one knows what's over there. Truth is, eventually, the characters will land in that place by the end of their journey... if it isn't the end. It is the biggest den of monsters ever seen? Is it a land populated by monsters? Could it be a technologically advanced city hidden from the naked eye, or home to the darkest clan of people that could ever exist? Maybe it's all of them!
Let's outline this world a bit, shall we? That's always my job when it comes to RP or joint storytelling.

You want in on this, lemme know.

Hmm... Laranarch I've actually got some ideas concerning this particular country.
